City Solicitors Horizons, is an exclusively social mobility focused initiative. Initiated by the City of London Solicitors’ Company, City Solicitors’ Educational Trust (CSET) and The Legal Education Foundation (TLEF), with the support of the City of London Law Society (CLLS) and leading law firms.

The programme's principal aim is to improve the chances of undergraduates from disadvantaged backgrounds, in accessing the legal profession. SEO London is the delivery partner.

What is City Solicitors Horizons?City Solicitors Horizons ('CSH') is a programme where aspiring lawyers from under-represented and socially mobile backgrounds get access to work experience, mentoring, and weekly training with top law firms.

How long is CSH?Three years.

How many candidates are there per cohort?50.

Is the programme remote or in-person?The programme maintains a mixture of some in-person and some online events. This is to make the programme more accessible for students living anywhere in the UK. Travel expenses for in-person events can often be reimbursed.

Do you have to have legal experience?Not at all - and you certainly do not have to study a law degree. All we are looking for is a motivation to pursue a legal career.
